Logo and Brand Identity Design in Prague

Search “graphic design Prague” and dozens of names show up. Visual identity is your brand at a glance: logo, color, type, and the way they behave together. The logo comes first, then the palette, the typeface and the photography. We start by asking who has to like it and everywhere it will have to run, because scope sets the price: more places to run, more work.

From€800per project

  • 16 pxthe size at which the logo still reads
  • 3 versionsof the logo: colour, one-colour, inverse
  • 2 roundsof revisions after you pick a direction
  • 8-20pages of a manual people actually read

You get a brand that sets your business apart and works everywhere it appears: at sixteen pixels in a browser tab, on an invoice, on a T-shirt and on a building. Our brand identity design services include the testing in those places, long before a mock-up.

You get the logo in every variant and format you need, plus the colors and the typeface set up for print and for screen.

  • Logo Design

A logo that reads in search results and above the door.

In short A mark that holds up at 16 pixels and on the side of a building. You get the full package: variants, clear-space rules, file formats for every use, so nobody's chasing you for a PNG six months later.

How we workWe show two or three visual directions first and choose between them before any logo exists. Then we develop the chosen direction, test the mark small, large and in one color, and refine it by how well it holds up. Only after that do we produce the file package. The logo of our own design agency went through exactly these checks.

What you getA refined mark in vector source files, plus a favicon and crops for social profiles, where the logo has to work inside a circle. We include a test sheet showing the mark from 16 pixels up to large format, with files named so anyone opening them for the first time can find their way around.

    What's included

    • Two or three directions before the first mark
    • Source files plus ready exports
    • Versions for dark backgrounds and small sizes
    • Holds up at 16 px and on signage
    • Minimum size and clear space

    Visual Language

Motifs, photo style, icons and grid beyond the logo.

In short Everything visual beyond the logo itself: graphic motifs, illustration and photo style, iconography, layout principles. It's what makes an unlabelled post still recognisably yours.

How we workWe draw motifs, grid and layout principles from what the brand already has, then add a style for photography, illustration and iconography. Every element gets placed into real materials, and whatever fails there gets cut, because an untested element always falls apart on first use.

What you getSource files for motifs and icons, plus a grid and layout templates you can keep producing material with on your own. We include a set of sample compositions and a photo selection that anchors a brief for a photographer or a stock purchase.

    What's included

    • A defined photo and illustration style
    • One grid and spacing system for everything
    • A short guide covering what's allowed
    • Shown on real materials
    • Icons, grid and graphic motifs

    What's in the box

You do not order these separately: they are in every job, and they are ours to do.

    Color Palette

Colors chosen for meaning, contrast and accessibility, each given a defined role: primary, surface, alert. We test every one in UI, print and video before anything is locked in.

We pick colors by the role they'll play in the interface and in print, and measure every text and background pair for contrast. Then we test the palette on real materials: a page, a button, an error message, a dark background, because that's where a weak palette falls apart first.

OutputA palette with assigned roles and values for both screen and print. Plus measured contrast for every text pair, and a sample showing how the palette behaves on a dark background.

    • Values for screen and print
    • Contrast checked on every color pair
    • Written rules for when each color appears
    • Every palette color given a role
    • Behavior on dark backgrounds

    Typography

Typefaces chosen to fit the brand's voice and budget, licensing included in the decision, paired and scaled into a hierarchy that works from business card to website heading.

We choose a pair of typefaces that work well together and settle the licensing before anything goes live. The chosen typeface gets tried on your real copy, especially headings carrying Czech diacritics. Then we scale it into a hierarchy and set how it behaves on small screens.

OutputA set of rules you can typeset anything with: sizes, weights and spacing from heading down to caption. Plus the font files with licensing sorted, and a fallback set up for places the typeface can't reach.

    • Typefaces with licenses and pricing included
    • Sizes and spacing set for web and print
    • A free fallback held in reserve
    • A hierarchy from heading to caption
    • A fallback for when the typeface fails

    Technologies

    Sound familiar?

    John Doefirst call
    1. A friend made our logo and nobody knows where the original is 😕

    2. The classic that surfaces at the first print shop: all that exists is a JPG from an email, it has a white box on dark backgrounds and falls apart at any size. You get a vector that can produce anything, in versions for light and dark backgrounds, with files named so that the person who takes over from you finds their way around.

    3. Every piece of material looks like a different company made it…

    4. The proposal in one typeface, the presentation in a second, Instagram in a third. Taste has little to do with it; nobody ever wrote the rules down. You get colors, typefaces and spacing in writing, plus ready templates, so a colleague with no eye for design still produces material that fits.

    5. I'm worried I'll get a pretty logo that turns out unusable!

    6. That's why we test the brand where it will actually live: on the favicon, on a stamp, in one-color print, on a vehicle wrap, in a round social media avatar. We skip the flashy presentation entirely. Whatever fails in those situations never reaches the final selection.

    7. A rebrand sounds expensive and nobody knows what the company gets for it…

    8. A rebrand also need not be the first step. Often it is enough to tidy what you already have: unify the colors, add the missing formats, write the rules. On the call we tell you whether your case is a tidy-up at a fraction of the cost or a real change of brand, and why.

The face of your business costs

    €37 a month

A logo and visual identity typically cost €2,200. Spread over 5 years that's €37 a month, or €0.94 for each of the 39 clients you see a month.

Typical prices from the studio price list. We simply divide by how long the brand lives.

The whole switch to a new identity

    €2,680

A new mark and style typically cost €2,200, plus 12 items to replace at €40 each: that's €480. If you replace these only as they wear out, the second part almost disappears.

You set the replacement cost. Identity priced at the studio's typical rate.

    Tweaking takes up

    10.3 hours a month

31 items at 20 min each is €310 a month at €30 an hour. A brand book typically costs €2,850. If it cuts the tweaking in half, it pays for itself in 18.4 months.

Estimate: a brand book and templates cut the tweaking in half. Typical price from the studio price list.

What about a logo from a generator or a €50 marketplace?

AI generates a logo in a minute today, and designer marketplaces sell one for the price of a lunch. For some situations that is a perfectly sensible choice, and claiming otherwise would be dishonest. The difference shows up later, and it helps to know when.

When the cheap route is enough

    • You are testing an idea and have no idea whether you will still be at it in a year
    • The brand will never appear on anything physical, only on one social profile
    • You can live with the risk that someone in another country uses the same shape
    • You need it tomorrow and the budget is zero

When doing it properly pays back with interest

    • Usability: a generated logo usually comes as a single raster version, so the first print job or embroidery is a problem
    • Rights: with a generator or a template you usually hold no exclusive right, and no trademark can be built on it
    • Coherence: the logo is a fraction of the brand, and the rest (colors, typeface, rules) is missing from a €50 package
    • Distinction: the generator builds from the same shapes it gives everyone else, so you end up looking like your industry, with nothing of your own in it

From the interview to a finished identity

    1. You look for who to be

      Interview and research

Who you sell to, what makes you different, what you like about the competition and what puts you off. We go through the field so we never deliver a brand that looks like three others in the same search results.

    2. You have a direction

      Direction first, logo later

We show two or three visual directions: mood, typography, color, how it would feel. The decision comes before the first mark exists, because choosing between finished logos means choosing by taste, and the goal gets lost.

    3. You see your brand

      Designing the mark

We develop the chosen direction into a concrete mark and show it where it will live: on the website, on an invoice, on a sign, as a profile picture, at small sizes. A logo that only works on a white slide is unfinished.

    4. Your brand has rules

      The system around the mark

Colors with values for print and screen, typefaces and their licenses, how photography is treated, grid and spacing. This is the part that keeps all your materials looking like one company two years from now.

    5. Files are in your hands

      Handover in usable formats

You get source files and ready exports for web, print and social media, including versions for dark backgrounds and small sizes. With them comes a short manual on how the brand may and may not be used.

    6. Your brand is everywhere

      Roll-out and extras

Business cards, presentations, social media templates, vehicle wraps, packaging. We make them as needed and within one system, so no second brand grows up beside the first.

      Check pricing

For a brand, we deliberately avoid promising the delivery date as a single number. It depends mostly on how fast approvals move on your side, and that varies more here than with a website. You get a concrete schedule in the quote. If you are building a website or video with us at the same time, the brand goes straight into them and you pay for it once. Nothing is added on top, the price is final.

The service is already picked. Three questions left: goal, scope, extras. You will get an honest range at the end, and we fix the exact figure in writing after one call.

An identity built to survive contact with reality

A logo is the easy part. The decisions behind it are the actual brand. We start with strategy, who you're for and what you stand for, because an identity without an argument is just decoration. Then we design for real life, well past the portfolio mockup. The mark has to work at 16 pixels and on the side of a building. The palette has to survive cheap print, and the voice has to sound like you in a job ad and a pitch alike. And we write it all down in a brand book, so the tenth freelancer you hire still looks like the same company as the first.

    What people ask most

How much does logo design cost?

A logo on its own from €800, an identity with colors, typeface and a mini manual from €1,200, a full brand book from €1,650. The calculator on the pricing page gives you an estimate; the fixed price comes after the call. Nothing is added on top, the price is final.

How many concepts do I get, and how many revisions?

We show several distinct directions, never ten variations of one idea, because a decision only works between things that actually differ. After you pick a direction there are two rounds of revisions, and more can be agreed. The exact numbers are in the quote, so they never become a debate halfway through.

What graphic design files do I get at the end?

Vectors (SVG, PDF, AI) and rasters (PNG, JPG) in versions for light and dark backgrounds, a one-color version for stamps and embroidery, a favicon and social media profile images. With them come color values for screen and print and typefaces with a license you are allowed to use.

    Will you register my trademark?

A lawyer or patent attorney handles registration, and we leave the filing to them. What we do is a basic search for anything very similar already running in your field, and preparing the artwork in the form the office needs. Anyone promising registration as part of the design is describing someone else's job.

Can you just refine our existing logo?

Yes, and often that makes more sense than a new brand: people already recognize you and throwing that away is a waste. We do a redesign that keeps what works and fixes what gets in the way of use. If it turns out the base is beyond repair, we say so straight away.

Do brand identity design services include the website and video?

Yes, and that's the main reason to have your brand made here. One crew does the website, the video and the identity, so nobody passes the blame for why a color on screen differs from the manual. If your website is with someone else, we prepare the assets so their developer can apply them with no back and forth.

How long does brand identity design take?

The date goes in the quote, because for a brand, more than for anything else, the speed of approvals on your side sets it. When one person decides, it moves fast; when six people with different opinions meet over it, expect more rounds and a longer schedule.
