Web Development in Prague

Your site sells while you sleep. We build sites in Prague that earn their keep, from a one-page portfolio to a full corporate site. Website creation runs as one job here: the same people sketch it, write it and code it. That is the point of hiring a web design and development company in Prague instead of stitching three freelancers together.

When you hire us to build a website, you get one that loads in under a second, looks right on a phone and on a big monitor, and walks the visitor towards an enquiry. Our website design and development services include the measurement that shows you it happened.

You see the price and the deadline before work starts, and both are written into the contract.

  • Portfolio sites

A site where your work stands out and photos load instantly.

In short A site for a photographer, architect or maker where the work itself does the talking. The gallery layout follows your own material: portrait shots, landscape shots, video or floor plans. Every project gets its own page, so it can be sent to a client on its own.

How we workWe start by going through your portfolio together and sorting it: what's the flagship work, what's routine craft, and what stays out entirely. The gallery grid follows your mix of portrait and wide shots. We build it, load in the first projects with you, and test how it loads on mobile data before launch, since that's where most galleries fall apart.

What you getA site with a project overview and its own page for every case study, plus an admin panel for adding projects, reordering them and editing captions. A toggle hides work still in progress. Photos convert to modern formats automatically on upload, and you get a contact form and a short guide for adding projects yourself.

    What's included

    • A layout built like a gallery
    • Loads instantly, photos and all
    • Update it yourself, no developer
    • Loads before a rival's homepage even starts
    • One toggle hides work still in progress
    • Reorder and caption your projects yourself

    Landing Pages

One page, one goal: an inquiry, a sign-up or a sale.

In short Landing page marketing is one page with one job: turn a campaign click into an enquiry or a sale. We write the pitch, design the flow and set up analytics, so you can see what each visit did and test which version works better.

How we workFirst we work out the pitch with you: who's buying, why now, and what the visitor should do next. We write it, you approve it, and only then do we design the layout, build the page and connect the form and tracking. After launch we watch the first data and adjust based on what real traffic shows.

What you getWebsite copywriting is included: one page with finished copy, a form that sends enquiries to both your email and your CRM, and tracking set up from the first click through to the submit. If you're testing variants, each one gets its own URL and its own tracking, so you can see which page wins.

    What's included

    • One page, one goal you can measure
    • SEO copy tuning and tracking included
    • Live in two to three weeks
    • Enquiries land in your email and CRM
    • See exactly what each order cost you
    • Test variants and let the numbers decide

    Multi-page sites

Services, references, pricing and contact on one clear site.

In short A classic company site with services, an about page, references and contact, structured so visitors and Google both find their way around. Navigation stays clear, pages load fast and you can add content yourself without calling a developer. We also offer website redesign services when you already have a site that needs a rebuild.

How we workWe start with structure. Based on what people in your field actually search for, we decide which services need their own page and how those pages link to each other. Design, copy and code come after, and we fill in the content with you, directly in the admin. Multiple languages are built in from the start, even if you launch in one.

What you getA company website with its own page for every service, an about section, references, a price list and contact, plus an admin panel for copy, photos, prices and new pages. The URL structure is ready for more languages, and it ships with an XML sitemap for search engines and basic traffic tracking.

    What's included

    • A structure that grows with your content
    • An SEO website from day one
    • Ready for more languages
    • Each service has its own page to link to
    • Structured around what people actually search
    • Change prices and photos without a developer

    Corporate Websites

Multilingual sites for companies whose reputation is at stake.

In short For companies where the website carries the company's reputation: polished enough for investors, multilingual content, legal pages, a careers section. From day one we plan the structure, set the tone and keep a speed budget so the site stays fast as it grows.

How we workWe work out who actually reads the site and split the sections and editing rights around that. Content is built language by language, each with its own URL, and accessibility and contrast are handled at the design stage, long before launch. Before handover we load the site with roughly the amount of content you'll have in two years, to see how it holds up.

What you getA multilingual site with a press section, legal pages, a privacy policy and a careers section that HR runs on its own. It comes with editing rights split by role, a list of accessibility points we've checked, and speed monitoring, so you'll know when growing content starts slowing the site down.

    What's included

    • Polished enough for investors
    • Careers, legal pages and languages covered
    • A speed budget set from day one
    • Its own address for every language
    • HR manages the careers section alone
    • Accessibility that tenders actually ask for

    Interactive and 3D sites

Animation, 3D and configurators where a template falls short.

In short Custom website development is for when a template can't say what you need it to: interactive stories, scroll animation, unusual layouts, product configurators. We code it from scratch and keep it fast, because creative freedom is never an excuse for a slow site.

How we workFirst we agree on what needs to be an experience and what's just information, because animating everything ends up delivering nothing. Then we prototype the most demanding part and measure how it performs before investing in the rest. Only after that do we build the site around it and tune how it behaves on phones.

What you getOur custom web development services cover the nonstandard part with custom code, plus a simpler fallback for devices and settings where the full version wouldn't make sense. You get the source files, a description of how the scene or animation is controlled and changed, and the speed figures we measured at handover.

    What's included

    • Designed with no template to start from
    • Animated and interactive, still loads fast
    • Built from scratch, no template underneath
    • 3D and scroll animation, right in the browser
    • Respects your reduce-motion setting
    • Loads under a second, effects and all

    John Doefirst call
    1. I want to edit the copy myself without emailing a developer over every comma 😅

    2. The most common sentence we hear. Every site we build comes with an admin where you change copy, photos, prices and whole pages with zero code, and at handover we click through it together on a call. Every change goes into a backup, so there is nothing to break.

    3. We have a website, but no enquiries come from it…

    4. Design is rarely the cause. Either the page takes so long to load that half the visitors leave before they see it, or it never says what people can order from you and what to do next. Before we draw anything, we walk through your current site with you, even if you then hire someone else.

    5. I'm worried the price will jump halfway through!

    6. Price and scope go into the contract before work starts, and you pay in three stages 40/30/30, so you never hand over the whole amount upfront. If you decide on something extra mid-project, you get the price of that change first and the decision stays with you.

    7. I have no copy and no photos, so there's no point starting… 😔

    8. That is the normal starting state, and it stops nobody. We write the copy from an interview with you, and we can shoot the photos and video ourselves. If the budget is tight, we start with what you have and add the rest after launch. Nobody waits for an empty website.

    What about WordPress and Wix?

Anyone searching for a web agency in Prague runs into WordPress, Wix and Squarespace straight away, so let's say it plainly: a ready-made platform is often a good choice, and we won't pretend otherwise. The question is when it makes sense and when it starts costing you more than it saved.

When a ready-made platform is enough

    • A blog or magazine where the main work is publishing articles
    • A budget under €800 and you can live with a template someone else has too
    • Someone on hand to watch core and plugin updates
    • You need a feature that has a ready-made plugin, and the way it works is fine for you

When it comes back to bite

    • Speed: ten plugins means ten third-party scripts on every page load, and caching can no longer save that
    • Maintenance: a site nobody updates is the most common way a company website gets hacked in the Czech Republic
    • Custom logic: a configurator, a link to your own system or an unusual form gets assembled from plugins that know nothing about each other
    • Leaving: a site built on Wix or Squarespace does not come with you, the subscription runs forever and a move means building it again from scratch

From the first call to launch

    1. You have an idea

      Call and review

Half an hour on who you sell to, what the site has to achieve and what fails today. If you already have a site, we go through it together with your traffic data. You leave with an opinion, whether or not you hire us.

    2. You know cost and timing

      Fixed price and plan

Scope, price and deadline in writing, usually within two to three working days. You pay in three stages 40/30/30. What the price excludes is listed as carefully as what it includes.

    3. You know what goes where

      Structure and copy

First we decide what goes on the site and in what order, and only then how it looks. We write the copy from an interview with you; if you have your own, we go through it and add what search engines need.

    4. You see your site

      A design on your content

You see a clickable design filled with your own copy and photos. You comment on it before anything gets coded, because at this stage a change costs nothing.

    5. You try it live

      Development and staging

The site grows on its own staging address that you can peek into at any time. We check speed and accessibility as we go, because fixing them at the end is the expensive way.

    6. Your site is out

      30 days on us

Deployment, one-to-one redirects of the old addresses, analytics and admin training. For the first 30 days we fix bugs free of charge. Domain, hosting and repository sit on your account from day one.

    Static-first, sub-second, yours to keep

We build static-first and match the stack to what the project actually needs. Pages ship as plain HTML, and JavaScript loads only where it earns its place. That's why our sites hit sub-second loads without any caching tricks. Dynamic features like search, accounts and checkout run on modern serverless infrastructure that scales without a sysadmin. You get the repository, the docs and the deploy pipeline. There's no lock-in: any developer can pick it up after us.

    What people ask most

How much does a custom website cost?

A one-page site from €800, a company website from €1,450, sites with custom functionality from €4,100. Nothing is added on top, the price is final. You get the exact price after the first call, usually within two working days, and you pay in three stages 40/30/30. We are a small web design company, so the people who quote the job are the ones who build it.

How long does custom website development take?

A one-page site takes two to three weeks, a company website four to six weeks, bigger projects from eight weeks. The deadline is written into the quote. Schedules slip most often while waiting for materials, so we tell you at the start what we need from you and when. We do the web development in Prague ourselves, so the date never waits on a subcontractor.

Will I edit the content myself, without a developer?

Yes. Every site comes with an admin where you change copy, images, prices and whole pages with zero code. At handover we go through it together on the live site, and you get a short video so you can come back to it six months later.

Who writes the copy and sorts the photos?

We write the copy from an interview with you and you approve it; nobody hands you an empty template to fill in. Writing is its own line in the quote, and short copy on a smaller site is often included. Copy you already have we tune for search as part of the site price. We can shoot photos and video ourselves, or use yours if they hold up. Missing materials are no reason to hold off.

Who owns the site, and what if we part ways?

Domain, hosting and code sit on your account and in your name; you get the repository and documentation at handover. There is no lock-in: any developer can take the site over after us without rebuilding it from scratch. That is the real test of a web design company: what you keep once the project ends.

    What happens after launch?

For the first thirty days we fix any bugs free of charge, and we treat that as standard. After that you can take a maintenance plan (updates, backups, small changes, speed monitoring) or run the site yourself. Both are fine, and nobody pushes you into a monthly fee.

Why don't you build on WordPress?

Sometimes we do, when it is the right choice for your case. Most of the time we build static-first, because the site then ships as finished HTML. It loads in under a second, there is nothing in it to hack, and you never update plugins every month. The WordPress section higher on this page goes into detail.

Can you also build an e-shop or a site with logins?

Yes, e-commerce and web applications are separate services with their own pages. If the call shows that you need a tool more than a website, we say so straight away, because a brochure site with a cart glued on never ends well.

Can you build our website remotely if we're not in Prague?

Yes. The whole project runs online, from the first call to launch: the brief, the design and the copy approval happen remotely, and you review the test version of the site through a link. Where you are doesn't matter.

    Ready to build something solid?

Drop us a message. We reply within a few hours to set up a quick chat.

    1. 1Within hours: a human reply: first thoughts, maybe a question or two.
    2. 2Within days: a 30-minute call. You talk, we listen. Free, no obligations.
    3. 3After the call: a written fixed quote, or an honest answer that we're not the right fit, with a tip on who to ask instead.

No sales scripts. You'll be talking to the people who'll actually build it.
